Sunrise 71 (Work In Progress)

In the summer of 1971, budding event promoter Ron Bozarth was approached with an offer to host a rock festival the likes of which Washington State had never seen before. With his sights set on doing everything earnestly, peacefully, and legally. the Sunrise 71 Rock Fest was born. But with many forces moving against them, including a drug using, drug dealing NARC and massive county-led pushback, Sunrise 71 became Washington’s Woodstock that never was, all but forgotten, until now.
